CHANGING TIDES by Izzy Gacusan

Daylight,
Daylight.
Sun stretched yellow hue.
Arriving irresistible
To late night drunken view.

Ears decipher whispers.
Romance twinkled moon.
Water rising,
Hypnotising
Timid kissing fools.

Sand, sea, silenced sighs.

Hearts wary
From past ache.
Trust fall into unknown,
“Please don’t let it break.”

Weakening hesitance
As pink dawn avails.
Warmth – a new horizon.
Friends realising
Finally, they’ve found fate.
